How Do I Place an Order & How Can I Pay?
Place your items into the basket and when ready, checkout online. You can choose to pay by:
- Debit/Credit card
- Bank Transfer or
- Cash on Delivery
Is there a minimum order requirement?
No, we do not currently require a minimum spend via our online shop.
Delivery cost / Where we deliver
Delivery is currently free of charge to postcodes within a 5-mile radius of the shop. If your postcode is not accepted by the online system, please telephone us. If you live close enough, we may still be able to serve you - in which case we will take your order over the phone (call: 0151 355 1499) and your postcode will be added to the online shop so you may order in future.
What delivery days are available?
Our usual delivery schedule is Monday - Saturday between the hours of 8am-5.30pm. Orders received outside of these hours will be processed the next working day, so please allow for this when ordering. Sorry, we do not deliver on Sunday's (when the shop is usually closed) or bank holidays including Christmas Day.
When can I expect my delivery?
Delivery is usually carried out next day or by mutual arrangement. Our aim is to get your order to you as quickly as possible and in some cases (if ordered early in the day) we may be able to deliver same day, it all depends on the size of your order, availability and time of ordering. We will contact you shortly after your order is placed to arrange a mutually convenient day and time.
Can I order in advance?
If you need to ensure you get your order delivered on a specific future date you may order in advance. Just let us know in the order notes section (during checkout) what date(s) you prefer, and we will contact you back to confirm and arrange. This would be particularly useful if you are planning for a special occasion or to ensure you get your produce during the shop’s peak/busy seasonal times (such as coming up to Christmas).
What happens after I have placed my order?
Upon placing an order, you will receive an email confirmation within a few minutes. We will contact you at our earliest convenience on the phone number or email address provided to arrange a delivery time to your specified delivery address.
What happens if no one is available to accept delivery?
You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive your delivery. If you are expected to be delayed, it is imperative you telephone us immediately to arrange an alternative delivery address or to leave with another person – eg. a neighbour.
If we attempt to make a delivery and no one is home or answers, we will try to contact you by phone and if this is unsuccessful, we will return your order back to the shop and you will be responsible for rearranging or collecting before the produce becomes spoilt.
Due to the nature of perishable goods, we can keep your order safe up to 24 hours, after that time your order will be disposed of. You will not be entitled to any form of refund against your order if you fail to rearrange delivery or collect it within 24 hours of the agreed delivery time slot.
In the unlikely event of any issue or delay our end, we will attempt to contact you so please ensure you provide a telephone number when you place your order.
What if I need to cancel or amend an order?
As our orders are processed very quickly, should you decide to cancel your order, you must notify us asap. Please telephone 0151 3551499 quoting your name, address and order number which can be found on your email confirmation.
What if I discover a problem with my order following delivery?
If anything is amiss, or in the rare event of you being dissatisfied with any aspect of your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Have your name, address and order number (found on your email confirmation or invoice) ready so we can resolve your issue as soon as possible.
How to store your meat/perishables
All our raw meat is delivered fresh, individually wrapped and where stated, is suitable for home freezing.
Perishables should be refrigerated as you receive your consignment and if you are planning on freezing any of your meat it is best to do this on the day it arrives.
You must ensure raw meats are kept separate from cooked meats at all times.
Eggs – According to the governing body for optimum quality and safety eggs are best kept at a steady temperature and below 20’C so ideally kept refrigerated.

We are required by the Food Standards Agency to tell our customers if any food we provide contains any of the 14 listed allergens as an ingredient. Reference to such will be found in the description section of each product listing and on the labelling of the outer packaging. Please ensure you check and read these labels carefully before consuming. All photographs of meat, cold meats, eggs and baked goods are taken from real examples sold on our own premises. They are not the exact product you will receive when ordered but a representation for illustration purposes to show you what each product typically looks like. Where applicable, cuts received will be from whole joints at the weight specified in the listing.
Pricing, weight and variations
Please check the product listing for actual weights and quantities at the prices shown. Where applicable, weights of products are listed in grams/kilograms. For guidance, 2.2lbs = 1 kilogram; 1lb = 454 grams.
All specified weights are approximate and intended as a guide and small variations may occur. Whilst our butchers are skilled in their profession, due to the nature of meat with variation of joints, especially those containing bones, sometimes it is impossible to cut the exact weight specified. It would be impractical to offer manual adjustments to each order to reflect this so please understand and accept there may be a small +/- weight tolerance.
Prices are correct at time of publishing, however, these may be subject to change without notice, so please check each product price carefully before you order/reorder.
